Even porn has its limits on verisimilitude. Just because people accept that porn stretches verisimilitude a massive amount, doesn't mean it no longer exists or matters.
And just because something is porn, doesn't mean the reader has to accept lower quality just because porn. There is a lot of top quality stories in porn.

Now, do not misunderstand. I don't mean you need to change anything, keep going as you please. Just that you should accept that people will attack your work and to not get defensive when they do. It will save yourself a lot of time and mental space to just ignore such things, if you don't care about them.
