It's that thing gangs do when one of them goes out of line. They beat the crap out of that person, then they hug. It's a fellowship, honor among thieves; and then they move on to do the next horrible thing.
That's the feeling I want for everyone to understand when they go into this story. It's about Hazuma's consequences of making a tennis team suffer more difficulties than they should; having said tennis team treat him horribly for the sake of teaching him a lesson, as oppose to just handing him to the powers that be and worrying in fear of the end result(s).
