Seeing it completed reminds me of why I stopped updating the gallery I had for this one halfway through. Kagey really lost the plot. Whatever it might have been.
Now that it's complete I have to say I overall did like it. I loved seeing Namara get corrupted and slowly becoming the very thing she fought against, ironically in part due to her own rebellious hubris. It was also neat to see her snap out of that while doubling down on her worst habits. But that ending leaves a lot to be desired. I don't get why Luen bothered staying when DTF is still a thing, just no longer on their moon colony. He could've easily just left them to fight where they're still active, which would've left the door open for a potential follow up. To see how the group handles being abandoned like that would've been a great avenue to flesh out their characters further. But between him just giving up and getting fat along with them, as well as Namara getting shrunk down for whatever reason, those last few pages just feel sloppy. It's like Kagey got burnt out and just wanted to wrap it up, and it just feels unsatisfying.
It's just a shame because it was so close to being a great story, only to trip on the finish line.
