I think the author treats this whole series like a game with multiple routes/endings. So whenever a heroine gets taken down that's just one possible ending for her.

I really wish the author/artist would actually try to make an actual strategy RPG game like this, if you would add voice acting on top and a decent amount of endings then it would be such a banger.
