Aside from the rewrite issue choosing a futa doujin of all things when there are numerous actually shemale/newhalf ones out there for your effort to 'correct' pronouns.

1. You probably read the shitty AI translation which usually mistranslates/defaults to him pronouns. Which it's reasonable to imply that you rewrote using that AI translation as the base.
2. Futa isn't mtf they are just default female from the start unless setup differently by the author.

PedroD.1 I see rewrites as a form of parody the same way many doujinshi of a non original work are. Because I'm not sure any random manga artist had his character, let's say Asuna from SAO as an example, taking a dick in the ass in mind when creating them. Deforming the vision of the original artist is ok BECAUSE it is parody and advertised as such (the rewrite tag). Besides, if people have a problem with that they go take it with the admins of the site as they explicitly authorize rewrites (there is a tag that's not expunge worthy) and in the meantime should use the filter system to not see rewrites (there is a tag that you can use to filter them out).
I don't even have a problem with people not liking certain things, what I can't stand are people insulting others in the most vile way they can think of for posting certain types of content. Your reply is not included in that, you were more than respectful in how you expressed your opinion. More than I am.

And the real problem I believe most of the toxic people have with this gallery isn't even the rewrite, but the trans flag on the thumbnail page. It's certainly a recurring element of the comments below.

Did you know there are a handful of trans people that get a variant sexual reassignment surgery that gives them both genitals? They call themselves salmacians or altersex. The surgery isn't done much yet, but some hospitals in the US and Bavaria perform it. Instead of using the tissue of the penis to create a neo vagina, the tissue of the scrotum is used. If you are curious about what this looks like in practice, there's a single porn performer called Nuparts who had this surgery. There are also transmasc variants, but they seem pretty complicated to explain.

So while there aren't any true human hermaphrodites, there are a few trans people who have both sets of genitals. Might even get more popular in the future as awareness rises and surgery quality improves, who knows.

Imo, there's three contributing factors behind why people are upset about this. Firstly, most obviously, trans flag. It's just attention grabbing, regardless of your stance on trans people, seeing it here of all places makes people go "why is that there? who put that there? there's gonna be some controversy in the comments, let me grab the popcorn." Secondly, it's a rewrite, and rewrites are almost never received well, regardless of which details are changed. Thirdly, it's conflating trans(/shemale) with futa, and that's absolutely tourist shit 100%. And these aren't independent factors, they magnify the others. If you don't like seeing shemale being mislabeled as futa, and you see a trans flag being paired with both the rewrite and futa tags, you already know what's going on before you even get to the comments.

If you think liking futa hentai means you must like shemale hentai, you're fundamentally wrong. There's some overlap for some people, sure, but there are so many different non-overlapping ways to portray futa characters (dickgirl on male, vs dickgirl on female, vs male on dickgirl) that almost nobody actually likes them all. Same goes for futa vs shemale, they're different things entirely, and anyone who tries to say they're the same is basically ragebaiting or has some motive behind it. Just accept that they're different, they really don't have to be turned into synonyms, do they?

Funny thing is, I really don't like shrimp cake's art style or tastes, I just saw the trans flag and wanted to see what was going on here.

No matter what your opinion is on trans people or what you think about trans/futa differences, the fact doesn't change that it is completely valid to complain about this.
In fact, it doesnt matter what substance would this translation change. The fact that it is intentional mistranslation remains identical. And this politically charged trans topic just makes it worse.

Some people who dont like/hate this translation most likely hate the whole trans topic, but many people here just dont want things intentionally mistranslated.
And again, the second reason here is very valid reason to complain about this, and it has nothing to do with "transphobia" (why do we even need to say that).

Politically charged, yes. It does not need to be your own intention, but your own intention doesn't matter when the topic itself is politically charged. This applies to every single politically charged topics. And trans topics are highly politically charged.

Intentional mistransalion, yes. For example: you see a tomboy girl in a manga dressed like a man, and she can be mistaken as a man because of her style. So, you know the character is a female but you intentionally mistranslate it to a male. "What you see is what you get" used as a blanket statement like you did is absolutely false in general, and so it is here. Person in this doujinshi may look like a trans person, but she was never a male and the translator knows that. It is by definition INTENTIONAL MISTRANSLATION. You dont need to admit it, but your wrong opinion doesnt change the fact.

I understand many people just want to "support trans" or whatever, but you can do that and still admit mistakes which inevitably happen for everyone, for fucks sake. You dont need to go and defend everything with strawmens and hyperbolic arguments, which do not hold under under kind of scrutiny.
