The other problem with MTL is that unfortunately, a lot of readers have extremely low standards about the quality of scanlations so the same people who accept MTL work will move onto the next thing and not reread a properly TL'd project.

The reduced traffic to a properly done scanation is a huge demotivator for groups that do things the right way.
