Another day, another SweetnessAdmirer flop. This guy just can't help himself with these corny stories, can he? I very much get the appeal of group weight gain stories, but KageyRagey this is not. I also wish he just did anything to vary the fat distribution on his characters. We're watching the exact same body gains over and over again but in slightly different settings. There's gotta be some major legwork here to make this a palatable production when its finished.

@vic 12 I heavily disagree, if anything I feel like this is one of his better stories, if not his best one so far. Not exactly a high bar I'll admit, but the main girl is genuinely a good character on her own. Lori goes from a wallflower giving up on any kind of social life by hiding away in her work, to literally dominating any given space she exists in with sheer bulk. She revels in getting fat as a form of power over others, to suck out all the air in the room as everyone's attention is forced onto her. People may gawk and stare, maybe even try mocking her, but they're only playing into what she wants by giving up their undivided attention onto her. Whether they want to or not, nobody can ignore her or her needs, and she needs nothing more than your total submission. Also lots of food, of course; preferably with Lori forcing you to feed it to her while she's on top of you riding off into the sunset.

There aren't a lot of weight gain comics that explore this kind of power dynamic, WG is usually treated as more submissive. To portray WG as strictly dominant is a novel concept I'm glad SweetAdmirerer has tapped into. I do agree with the fact that the body types could be more varied though, but I respect the actual story going on here.

Okay, now that this finally over, I have to say that I kind of regret giving my earlier praises. As I mentioned earlier, the primary appeal of this story for me was the novelty of treating weight gain strictly as a tool for dominance. Lori was gaining weight as a way to fuel her own ego, while rebelling against a society that ignored her by making herself literally impossible to ignore. It was a fascinating marriage of vainglorious punk contrarianism. Once she started fattening others up, the comic just completely lost the plot. It would be one thing if characters just naturally got fat on their own; but having Lori deliberately fatten up her social circle makes zero sense. The weight gain loses so much of its narrative significance now that it's hypocritically used to make everyone around her submissive. The story ending up with multiple characters that are even fatter than her flies directly in the face of her self-centered desires. She's no longer the "special" fat girl that the rest of the skinny world orbits around; she's now just "average" in an group of fat people.

Everything past page 34 just feels...cowardly. Like SweetnessAdmirer was aware that they were treading on unfamiliar territory, but rather than be excited by the prospect of truly exploring a unique character arc, he got cold feet. They've sanded away any and all edges the story to get back to their comfort zone, becoming almost verbatim like every other story they've written. Would I still say this is one of his better stories? I guess, but it's much more emphasized that I'm grading on a curve when it comes to his work. Just a devastating disappointment all around.
