Part 11 of the "Shitty JPG-set from the early internet that after all these years noone's still bothered to rip properly" CG series.
Animated section is 36-88, every other pic or so. Rather than the usual 256 color GIFs for the gallery and higher quality WEBMs in the torrent this is my first attempt at making animated WEBPs. The format is rightfully not as widely accepted but seems to produce much more accurate frames with details and color preserved in a lightweight file. Most likely I'll stick to it going forward, unless there are some downsides that I just haven't noticed yet.
In case you must know the downsides of lossy animated WebP. Lossy WebP is in Y'CbCr, instead of RGB of lossless WebP. So source RGB (full range luma 0-255) converted to Y'CbCr (chroma subsampling 4:2:0 and limited range luma 16-235), compressed and saved as lossy WebP, and then when displaying converted back to RGB. In archiving perspective, there is loss of color information in chroma subsampling, loss of accuracy in convertion rounding error, and loss in lossy WebP compression. It's nothing comparing low-res 256 color dithering GIF.
