Elinalise Dragonroad is carrying out a guild assignment: tracking down and killing the orcs who have been kidnapping the women of the village. Once she finds their hideout, Elinalise discovers that her mentor and partner, Frieren, has been captured by the orcs. Overcome with despair, Elinalise is also captured, and the two are forced to serve the orcs and goblins in the area.
