If I had a nickel for every "I'll use hypnosis to take over my school and form a harem" story I've read that had a last moment twist where the MC gets hypnotized themselves and completely changes the story, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

Still, this is far and away the better story compared to the one I'm thinking of.
