Only the protagonist, Fudezaka, is aware of how everything around him changed, people like him are considered bonafide Ikemen now, while a girl like Okudera is considered a complete uggo, a bully magnet no one would bother to care for or help, except out boy Fudezaka that is since from his perspective Okudera is a real cutie, but he really didn't like seeing her being bullied.

Wacky setup aside the story is somewhat cute, Fudezaka is not an ugly bastard, dude has some beauty on the inside so the romance with Okudera is genuine, poor girl even tries to eat a lot so she can become a "beauty" worthy of Fudezaka, since from her point of view she is with a person way out of her league, but in this new world overeating causes rebound weight loss instead, Okudera is experiencing the reverse of a person struggling to lose weight.
