Okay, the dude has some weird fetishes for the animal-thought implants, even if they're for amusement. In any case, the newest batch of pages seems a little fast-paced, but it's hentai. It seems only Nora, Velvet, Coco, and Glynda are the last remaining Beacon natives to be hypnotized.

I could see Glynda being the most important target, and fitting if she were to discover the Pyrrha, Yang, and Weiss. Maybe Coco and Velvet as possible candidates too.

The writing in RWBY is...less than consistent if I am to be nice. Yang is a flirt and expressed interest in boys during Vol. 1 right before initiation. Blake had Adam as a mentor-figure as stated originally in the Mountain Glenn episodes. For Blake, the romance with Adam was more implied, plus they'd set up several volumes developing her and Sun only to completely dump it following Vol 4. However, the fandom and the constant shippers in both the fandom and the staff pushed both characters' becoming bisexual lesbians. And not even in a good way storytelling-wise.

It's technically ongoing since the comic seems to be commission-based if I remember correctly. So long as the Storm has time and is paid properly, then the thing should continue. If it's not by commission, then I guess it may continue so long as interest is shown and supported through memberships.

I'm more interested in the new addition of Neo being the big antagonist. Wonder if Winter and other huntresses will be involved. Considering Penny and her tech as a robot, I'd find it funny if she turns out to be the big winner in the end.

@agreg that's not *quite* right. Monty Oum (the original creator) largely had a workflow that basically boiled down to animating whatever he wanted (the affectionately-named "MONTY ACTION!!!") and left RoosterTeeth's team, headed by Miles Luna, to come up with a way to string them together. Oum didn't have much to do with the writing, by his own admission, and one of the unfortunate side effects of adopting this genius from mars technique towards show creation is that he would occasionally just dump something completely new on the rest of the team's desk and leave them scrambling to try and include it. Early on this was kind of understood and most of us didn't really care because we were getting MONTY ACTION!!! on a more reliable basis than we'd been getting in either RvB or Oum's solo projects, but obviously Oum's death and the subsequent inability of the rest of the animators to live up to his work (not a slight, nobody could do that) really exposed the low quality of the writing.

It's also worth noting that the Yang/Blake shipping on a character level (as opposed to "put two cute girls together and make them kiss" which was prevalent everywhere just from the trailers) actually began *because* the characters began developing a relationship in volume 1 - Blake specifically targets Yang as her partner during the tryout, lurking and waiting to make contact until she's picked out someone she thinks is good enough, and it's Yang she reports to during the big fight. Since the two of them are more stable than Ruby and Weiss they end up communicating better and actually open up to one another pretty early on, which is what really set the shippers off. It's not super well-written, but there is a foundation for a romance there, so it doesn't come entirely out of nowhere either. That being said, I do agree with @hentailover6983 that they fell for the meme and just increasingly went to "let's just write in the gay ships" instead of focusing on naturally deepening character relationships, which is a problem that a lot of gay literature has. (LOVELESS is possibly the canonical example in my mind as they have a genuinely interesting idea which goes completely underused and makes the mistake of introducing a female friend the protagonist has excellent chemistry with, causing the gay ships it's focused on to come off as underwritten and forced.)
