I wonder if Ohnaka Ito is gunning for a harsh upbringing reveal for Kouta, there are two particular stances where it may be hitting towards that, Kouta makes a snide compliment towards Mikako once she takes him home (she was forced to so, since Risa asked her dad to take him, but Ryuji said he drank too much, so it fell on Mikako’s shoulders), about how she is a successful career woman, running a company and living in a nice big house, remarking that his mother is nothing like her, and later when Misa proposes she and Kouta go have sex at his home, he says going there is a no-no.

Talking about Risa, Ohnaka did deliver on his words from over a year ago, saying Risa would likely get a sex scene of her own in Part 3, to make up for the lack of it back in Part 2.

Honestly surprised we are at Part 3 and Mikako still shows this much attrition against Kouta, her body is giving in but she still thinks quite badly of him, which is why I wonder if a sad backstory for Kouta would be brought up to pave the way for Mikako to fully give in to Kouta’s advances, the usual attempt to white wash the Netorare guy a little bit in similar works. Despite her clear disdain as Mikako took Kouta home, he left her his home address written down, Mikako naturally shouted she doesn’t want to see him, what she would even to do with this! (notice how Kouta didn’t Risa, his alleged girlfriend, to go to his home).

Anyway, poor husband, Ryuji yes, his name is revealed here in Part 3, dude is super easy going but that makes him quite the pushover, Part 1 already showed some of that as Mikako bossed him and Risa being all-around rebellious doesn’t show any respect towards him; in Part 2 after Mikako’s past was revealed we see Ryuji actively wants to bond with his wife, unlike some NTR’d husbands. At any case, as seen back in Part 1 Ryuji wanted to meet Risa’s boyfriend and just be welcoming to him, here in Part 3 Ryuji does just that, making small talk, praising Kouta for his intelligence, and playing some Shogi where Kouta soundly corners him despite claiming to be just a beginner; but Kouta doesn’t care much for that hospitality as he was laser focused on Mikako, feeling he is entitled to a reward since Risa’s grades did go up.
