if you bothered to look at their website, they credit all of the translators at the bottom of each translation post, you'd have noticed if you didn't just download it at the first second. And for the doujins not comissioned by them: yes, that is fair, since they also work by providing a good place to view doujins free of advertisements and pop-ups as well. is it alright for e-hentai to only allow people to view 20 images at a time, or only download a certain amount of doujins based on how many "credits" they have? doujin-moe doesn't restrict either of those to their members.

I think they focus on giving credit to the translators of the doujins they commission, not every one they post. Do people really even pay attention to who translated what?

Is it all right for them to delete credits from the translations then post it on their site for members only even though the translators released it publicly for free?

Yes, I looked at the website and they did take off the credits pages/edit out the page to remove the credits and then posted up on the website and didn't even credit me that I translated it. They would have continued doing this if I didn't asked them to stop. If you bother to dig deeper you can see it for yourself.

About e-hentai, I never said it was perfect but at least it is free and you can get the credits by just contributing back such as uploading a gallery or seeding a torrent. It's not like they made you buy them and you can use those credits to unlock features such as to block the ads, see more images, etc.

You just contradicted yourself with "And for the doujins not commissioned by them: yes, that is fair (Answer to my original post)" with "doujin-moe doesn't restrict views or downloads."

It's a matter of respect.

If you deleted credits or rename and keep to yourself then whatever. But if you delete the credits and put it up to give the illusion that you create the content and charging people for it then that's just plain wrong.

Obviously, you just care about getting it and not who did it so I don't think there is anything more to say.

Why, yes, I do pay attention to who translated what, and I would bet many others do as well.

I'm probably one of the few people who actually make the effort to go to the original translator's site and download doujins with their download links (in case they get revenue through that).
