Translation commissioned by me.
I absolutely loved UnbalanceX2, and when I saw that there was a doujin by the author IM Dal-Young himself, I had to have it translated.

This is my first time ever cleaning and/or editing (as a matter of fact, first time ever touching Photoshop/GIMP), so I know it's nowhere near perfect, but I spent almost 26 hours of work on it, so hopefully it isn't absolutely horrid.
I didn't have the best raws in the world (binded, blurry) but I did the best I could.
Some of the redraws are shitty, and I left the text to the side on one because I didn't want to risk it.

Leave me some feedback if you don't mind & let me know where I need to improve.

Unbalance x Unbalance is a story about Jin-Ho, aged 19 (Japanese name Kenichi) who tries to court his teacher Hae-Young Nah, aged 26 (Japanese name Elina Takanashi).

It's a vanilla couple, it's just that the guy is rough in bed and knows his woman loves it.
I just consider it rough vanilla because no matter what he says to her in the sheets, he loves her with all his heart.

Redbone is correct.
I decided to use the Japanese names(Kenichi & Elina) instead of Korean (Jin-ho & Hae-Young Nah) because most people that read doujins are familiar with the honorifics of Japanese and not Korean.
Since the dialogue shows a progression from her referring to him as -kun, and him to her as sensei, then later on him using her first name, I figured it would be easier expressed in Japanese. It tells the story, shows the progression of their intimacy between each page.
Plus it's a little hard to fit in Hae-Young Nah Seonsang-nim

Its so strange seeing the author of a manga where theres no sex, or at least nothing explicit, do a doujin like this, but its pretty interesting nonetheless

edit: since it hasn't been pointed out yet, the names aren't the same as the original work the story is set in Seoul I believe and as such the characters have korean names the guy's name is Jin-Ho Myung and the woman's name is Hae-Young Nah, the names used here are localized(HA!) for the japanese market.

Now this is how I'd hoped Unbalance x Unbalance would end: with a proper sense of closure by having both main characters have sex to "consummate" their relationship. Since this was done by the actual author of UxU, then it actually makes this piece canon.

And as a plus, we finally get to see one of the hottest teachers in mainstream manga having sex.

Here's a bit of feedback, as you requested:

- You have a good selection of font choices, but you may also want to use a different font for thoughts that are outside speech bubbles. Also, the font size on Page 1 could be reduced to match those of the subsequent pages.
- Your use of grammar is good, with only one minor error on Page 5.
- You may want to consider spreading the text throughout the speech bubbles instead of putting text on one word at a time.

Overall, you've done a pretty good job for a first attempt. Your cleaning is clear for the most part, and your redraws don't distract from the main action. Thanks for taking the time and effort to having this translated!

Looks good enough for someone's first job. It could definitely use some polish but the effort could be saved in case a not so shitty scan comes out sometime in the future, I think.

The best part of this is not the actual sex but the feeling you get knowing this is cannon and that these two actually did all these stuff and it wasnt made up by a 40 year old dude in his basemente but one of the best(if not the best) korean author there is.

Just a few hints:
-Stroke. It's that white aura that stays around words, helps distinguish text from the background and it's one of the most basic tools when writing on top of images. Search it out, this is important.
-Remember that phrases should always have the best flow possible. If a balloon is too big don't be afraid to sacrifice fitting for clarity. Better to read things nicely then have words messily spreadt all around one line at a time.
-Also, center your text. Not crucial, but a good work is made by the details.
-You may wanna learn how to use the clone-stamp tool to redraws parts of the images, if you're using Photoshop.

Interesting thing is, that this is not actually done by the original artist of UnbalanceX2.

Kim Gwang-Hyun and Lee Soo-Hyon both works for the story writer Lim Dal-Young.

Now, Mr. Kim is the artist of "Freezing"
Mr. Lee on the other hand, worked on "Unbalance X2"

But for the Doujinshi, those two switched roles!

So Mr. Kim drew this Unbalance X2 part, while Mr. Lee drew the other 'Freezing' part.
You know, for the sake of this being 'doujinshi' and not the actual manga!

These two artists have similar style. Also they have same story writer
Therefore they cross their manhwa(korean comic) to draw hentai dojinshi.
Mostly they work in japan. Thats why they play in comic event

Here is my opinion about reason why Jin-Ho (MC) is being rough to Hae-Young:

-Because of his straightforward, self-centered personality.

-He was taught that he needs to be aggressive when it come to love by no one but Hae-Young's younger sister.

-Hae-Young is super cute and becomes more obedient than before. There are no ways a young and healthy boy like Jin-ho doesn't want to mess her up.

I read the doujin because i knew that the guys behind the original were also doing the Doujin and the doujin was set after the manga series, but this just puts a bitter taste in my mouth.

I feel that the entire time I took to read the manga was a complete waste, and it felt like the ending was more rushed and forced, some characters that I feel should have had an ending, were completely ignored, but whatever. It made me happy that the guy got the teacher, but I guess that I'm just jealous that romance like that doesn't exist in the real world, and if it does, I didn't experience it myself. I guess I'm feeling "forever alone" here, but I can't be the only one. I'm sure a lot of the people who read the manga felt the same way, it made me realize that the real world is filled with shit and there is no such thing as a happy ending, so I guess I'm jealous of fictional characters. Over all, it was unsatisfying and I urge anyone thinking of reading this manga, to avoid it like the plague. Hell, Wolf Guy: Ookami no Monshu had a better ending than this manga, even though the ending for Wolf guy was just a cliffhanger, at least it didn't make me feel like shit.

tl;dr whatever you do, DON'T READ THE MANGA! But more than likely you've already read the manga, that is why you're here.

Not going to lie this is kind of disappointing.

In the manga Jin-Ho is portrayed as someone that (while kind of a smart ass and a trouble maker) is fiercely loyal and protective of his friends. As well as being shown to be both tender and passionate towards Hae-Young Nah.

I was kind of hoping to see some of that when I saw this doujinshi but instead I got Jin-Ho acting like a complete douche. The developing romance between Jin-Ho and Hae-Young Nah was what made the manga so great.

To see it turned into 'THIS' was an instant downer.

Seriously. At first my boner was like "YES!!! Unbalance x 2 Doujinshi!" Then I got to page five and my boner just went "Nope, Nope, Nope, Nope, Nope!"

I'm gonna give the benefit of the doubt that Jin-Ho snapped a little after nearly losing Hae-Young forever and this is what male yandere with a dash of shitty, demanding abusive single parenting and delinquency looks like.

I understand people are let down and disturbed, but you can visibly see his exact familiar kind, loving eyes at the beginning while before they have sex he looks almost like a frenzied beast, so at worst, this suggests he's rough in bed and Im Dal Young misguidedly believes him madly telling her to absolutely become "his" while fucking her into a happy, tired but satisfied heap is the passionate catharsis fans were looking for in a porn canonically following up the ending. There's still sexy pages and acts, just don't think he's going to become the piece of shit his father was. Come on, you think all their friends including adults aren't going to notice something and put a stop to it eventually if it was actually an issue? Like I said, this is obviously Im Dal Young personally having a fucked up idea of what he thought people wanted to see. People wanted to see Jin-Ho take charge and leave Hae-Young panting after all the ecchi cockteasing and buildup. But we wanted it to be passionate BUT SWEET AND LOVING

Hope this helps. I loved Unbalance X Unbalance and the first thing I did after finishing this was try to make sense of it from a character standpoint. This was what I came up with and my reasons for remaining calm albeit annoyed. I just wish he said something like "I'll never lose you again" or "Nobody could ever take you from me now". He did at least say he'll take responsibility if he knocks her up, so they've been planning a family. Let's just demand a softer continuation or at least an clarification of this and relieve any worries. This is not going to destroy Hae-Young OR Jin-Ho and their relationship, okay?
