What the hell makes you think I care about the metacritic or other review sites on internet? Anyone can post a score for anything these days.

Did you actually play either PE 1 or 2? If you did, you would realize this game had NOTHING to do with original games. Every single PE veteran bashed this game.

Another series ruined by Motomu Toriyama, the same hack who destroyed Front Mission and to a lesser extent, Final Fantasy.

I can feel your pain. The gameplay itself wasn't that bad (there are tons of better games out there, though), but the story made me sad, in a bad way. I just hope that someday there will be a true Parasite Eve 3, and Motomu isn't involved in its development (and Nomura should only be there to do character designs. He was liable for the game's ending).

How disappointing that this cosplayer decided to support a piece of trash game that makes a mockery of what was one of the best female protagonists that the medium had to offer. She could've cosplayed as the real Aya instead of this abomination.

As for msgundam2's comment... I always have to shake my head in disappointment at the blind fanboys and fangirls that will support things like 3rd Birthday despite how insulting it is. It not only insults Parasite Eve, its characters and its fans, but consumers as a whole, because it was blatantly created under the assumption that the average consumer will only buy a game with a woman starring in it if she's a submissive sex object.

Such blind support for a game like that by blind fanboys and fangirls isn't shocking to me. But what is shocking is the blatant lie msgundam threw out about metacritic's scores. I'm literally looking at 3rd Birthday's metacritic page as I type this and it has a 71 out of 100 for pro scores, 5.7 out of 10 for user scores. And the only reasons its pro score is so high are because a lot of those reviewers treated it like a brand new IP, and focused almost exclusively on the gameplay and not the story or how poorly the game depicts women through Aya.

3rd Birthday was a joke... such a joke that I wanted to give up playing very early on. I finished just for the sake of finishing it and hoping it would have gotten better. Nope it did not. I totally agree with what Ruey said and don't really have much to add.

And yes, hopefully a REAL PE3 comes out... not some stupid shit like this again.
