It doesnt need to be a positive one.

Sure i dont go every gallery and say "this is shit/good", but i do comment on galleries i particularly like, or particularly hate.

Anyway, he isnt bashing. Bashing would be "X genre is stupid, and anyone who likes it is stupid".

kaiga is an artist who seems to have three major themes throughout his artwork, happy sex, guro and heavy metal music... if that isn't an odd combination then I'm not sure what is.

Obviously kaiga likes a small plethora of genres and of the things he seems to like there sure is a dissonance between them, happy sex and guro are almost polar opposites. That said, there are people with a taste for happy sex, people with a taste for guro and people with a taste for happy sex and guro.

Most of kaiga's work isn't for everybody, and that's probably why he ended up splitting up his CG sets into happy and dark as Hell with Tokimeki Discharge 3 being comprised of both a "Happy End" and "Bad End" set. Whether you like kaiga's light or dark artwork, I don't think that it's up for debate whether he's a good artist or not, he definitely is. And he's a unique artist, I mean what other ero-artist do you know that has Marilyn Manson lyrics all over their homepage?
