Doing ones like the "Fallen Ninja" chapter at the end in the hentai ova was so unexpected that it was absolutely refreshing lol.

You can see why even if some people didn't like the visual style of the hentai, it was still considered pretty damn funny, hah..

The anime version takes an interesting spin on this and intertwines many of the chapters stories rather than just leaving them as standalones (albeit, it's not done very well in the anime). The screenplay writer for the animation is NOT Bosshi, rather its another person by the name of Shinichiro Sawayama (this evidently explains the large disparity in narrative between the original material and adaptation).
