I have to admit, one of the reasons I tackled this one was to get the chance to write PROPER Shakespearean-English dialogue; I'm tired of seeing it mangled by people who think a random sprinkling of "thee" and "thou" and "-est" and "-eth", with zero concern for how the language actually WORKED, looks anything but awkward. You can totally do this shit AND make it sound natural; anyone who doesn't is just an incompetent or lazy localizer.
UPDATE: In the 13 years since I uploaded this translation (OH MY GOD I'VE WASTED MY FUCKING LIFE), I've come to regard it as something of an old shame. Witnessing over a decade of sloppy, inaccurate, and even deliberately subversive "localizations" in anime and manga has spoiled the whole concept for me, and I can't help wondering whether I should have thrown aside the archaic-English convention and translated this more accurately. I don't know. MAYBE it still works.
