I hate how a lot of sets feature an obvious tag (here, "Pregnant"), and yet thanks to one or two people with high vote power, the tag cannot be added. It's stupid.

Do take notice that any tag should only be added if it's relevant to majority of the pictures in gallery (a.k.a. presency rule).
Those hateful high power voters you mention help keep search results relevant, unlike you lot and your "hurr durr but she's shown pregnant in picture #x and #y. also #z in background", which is probably why they have high voting power in the first place.
