Fuck Lords of Shadows. The entire series is nothing but a rotten memory once they get the second game over with and give the franchise back to someone who knows how to make the game good. The ONLY remotely good thing that this shitty series gave us is #74 and #39(and #40 by proxy). Everything else about the game can be forgotten. And I only liked 74 because it's a genuinely nice setting(hey, it worked for Resident Evil 4)

Lords of Shadow actually gave the Belmonts a link to Dracula that makes sense and explains why only they are the ones that can fight him, not like in Lament of Innocence where he was basically some pussy who's wife died and he refused to man the fuck up and decided to become a vampire because of it, oh and his best friend was Leon Belmont and he decided to have his wife killed because he simply thought why the fuck not? Hence why Belmonts hunt Dracula

Such deep character creation with a grudge that should have died off within the first few generations of Belmonts, but hey maybe if you nag Konami enough they might forget about keeping the series alive or sales revenue and bring it back to the stale old formula.

I fully agree with you Gingie. As for you Samtron10000 yeah ummm no. I don't necessarily think that is what Gingie had in mind.
To be more precise Konami should have handed one of their top selling IPs to a developer that respects the series and will breathe new life into it. Make the same games? Really? So you consider the gameplay that Portrait Of Ruin,Circle of the Moon and Curse of Darkness to be the same exact thing?

Well let's see what Lords Of Shadow has done to the characters:

Alucard IS Trevor Belmont due to being bitten by Dracula. That makes sense. So they are no longer separate characters.

During Gabriel's journey, the Combat Cross is called the "Vampire Killer" by the surviving villagers of Wygol after saving them from a vampire attack.

Extremely weak compared to Lament Of Innocence.

the vampires are weak animal-like naked creatures that lives in holes.

I could go on and on but overall it is a decent game but a weak Castlevania game.
