That is the question that is reapeated in my mind as I read through this.

You know, there's a strong argument that a great deal of modern paraphilia can be sourced back to media folks consume as a child, given that we learn our notions of what is "sexy" or "erotic" while still young. The modern form of furries hearkens greatly to this, as do in general many unrealistic fetishes like breast enlargement or size paraphilia or weight gain or vorarephilia. This generation has grown up consuming a ton of cartoons that regularly feature these themes in un-eroticized ways, it's not hard to understand where these ideas came from. Like tom and jerry here: there was a tom and jerry cartoon where jerry the mouse got ahold of some strength junk and used it to beat up tom. This isn't even a new plot, just one that's had erotic elements (and of course a gender swap to preserve heterosexuality) added to it.
