Edit: antony96, there's actually a section in one of the light novels talking about how the AmuSphere doesn't block all the sensory information from the outside, and it comes up again in a couple other places. Mostly it's in the context of how to minimize the effect of it, but it wouldn't be all that surprising for someone to develop a way to use it.

Of course, the part where Shino keeps moving around in the real world just doesn't fit at all.
