While the art style for Foxy Rena is good the story and characters really disappoint me. Fenrir being a perverted rapist, opportunist, and betrayer disgusts me, I prefer Thor more and was hoping he would FINALLY make an appearance, I don’t find Rena to be a good character, and using the Inferred Holocaust trope coupled with “All’s well that ends well” is just lazy writing. And judging by the convenient omission of humans and wanton destruction amakuchi shows that he hates humanity. Amakuchi’s bias is a huge turnoff for me since I love human x furry relationships.

And if amakuchi hates humanity so much why didn’t he just make Foxy Rena a furry only universe? What is humanities relationship with the beasts anyway? Did these beasts always live in Japan or did they come from the demon realm? How can Rena have a secret hideout when they accept public offerings at their shrine?! How come Bloody Bat and Rena get real names while “Ocean Orca” is still just a title? While Foxy Rena looks pretty the rest leaves a lot to be desired. (Why can’t the Kemokko Lovers series get translated? -_-‘)

@AzureRyu I'm kinda with you. The characters are nothing more than mindless fun (for rape fetishists) at the moment. I hope it was just the hook and we start seeing some serious character development here soon or Ama stops trying to act like Fenrir isn't evil.

I hope Fenrir is just Rena's Vegeta and Bat chan is his Bulma.

@jimbo21Thank you for the kind response! :] It’s good to see that a few people actually care about good writing instead of being obsessed with sex. While the art for Foxy Rena is OK the writing is a huge turn-off. I like to think that humans and beasts co-exist in this universe but the scarcity of beasts proves otherwise. Which is a shame because I wouldn’t mind seeing more characters.

I also found Rena’s regular blunders and the excessive amounts of rape to be just unappealing. The entire series just comes across as, meh, if you are not obsessed with rape and sex scenes. Lastly, I doubt, amakuchi, will improve on his narrative. He made it very clear that he is an artist who is not into humans and it looks like he has a huge taste for rape scenes.
Maybe he might improve but I remain doubtful.
