@muffinfucker, I think a lot of the appeal for this couple comes from the combination of their characters (at least for me, there's something really hot about seeing a couple of my favorite characters put together sexually). Also, their relationship as superior and subordinate adds a really fun dimension to this particular doujin since there's a heavy BDSM dominance/ownership element. Eren may not have a flashy design, but his character traits and his relationship with Levi from the manga and anime make this an interesting pairing.

But of course, you're free to disagree. In which case, I'd suggest avoiding reading doujins of this couple.
