She's struggling. The entire story is about an escapee and her struggle in the wretched society she lives in. I like stories like this. Reminds me of that one comic about Elder Scrolls and a cat girl magician.
I dunno if she's supposed to be likeable, but she's supposed to be realistic at least.

Opinions are cool I guess. No wall of text will make me unlike the character though, Tombogi. Maybe you should consider the possibility that all of this is not the failing of the author but just your personal preference. Maybe you need it explicitly spelled out that her life is shit and her options are limited. Maybe other people are fine with reading the text between the lines. Maybe both methods of delivery are ok and you just happen to prefer one over the other, doesn't mean the author messed up.

May I point out that traditionally the Drow come from a society that enforces and encourages evil? What some of you critics may be viewing as being a shitty character, I see as having quite a bit of depth if you know the lore. Am I saying she's evil? No. Am I saying that she isn't? No. That's what kind of makes this story so interesting to me. In D&D terms, I'd say most of these characters fall into the evil or neutral spectrums, but the pair that work for lady wolf actually seem more good inclined. I'm fascinated to see if our drow will have to return to her rapist for aid in escaping the city, and perhaps come to understand her more. In a city of corrupt bureaucracy, slaves sold on the street, an order that likely would burn an inn down just to make an example regarding demons, papers required to enter or leave as we've just learned, underworld factions like Lady Wolf's troupe may be as good as you can find.

There's an old drow saying, "Trust is for the foolish, and the dead." This woman is clearly living up to what you might expect from a drow exile, and from what I've seen so far, she's more worthwhile than much of her conceited race. That is of course if we're going by the assumption that drow lore was taken into account when making this character amd the world she's found herself in. I came for the demon rape, and I stayed for the intriguing story. Honestly I've read so many stories with overly sympathetic victims, that having one that kicks serious ass and is far darker than your normal lead character to be refreshing.

Also how can you not love the part where Wolf trolls almost all of them by starting to suck off the douchebag? "How many of those do you have? There's no way that pathetic subservient thing is the same one that tortured me." OMNOMNOM! I may have a sick sense of humor, but daaamn did I laugh at the horror on her face when she found out Wolf was teaching a very fatal lesson. So I'd give this story at least a 7/10 maybe even an 8/10.
