...Ah, yes. Al-Azif...the living spirit of the great Necronomicon, the legendary "Book of the Dead". Strange how a book that's over 2000 years old takes the shape of a little Lolita Tsundere...Egypt be crazy. (I'm about to get fucking historical on all your asses. The Book of the Dead was believed to be a tome that Egyptian priests used to call upon Anubis, the god of death, to take souls to the afterlife...and sometimes bring them back...no-one knows if they ever succeeded in bringing one back...but some say that they may have. BOOM, I just dropped some knowledge on ya. You're all welcome.)
Pg. 99...Wait a minute, Al's guns have physical bodies, too?!
The "Necronomicon" is the Greek translation of Kitab Al-Azif, titled after the Arabic onomatopoeia for the howling of demons, written by Abdul Al-Hazrad (Al-Azrad) in the Lovecraft mythos. Is it conflated with the Egyptian book of the dead due to the name.
Also, those aren't Al's guns, but Nero's, given to Kurou, and used to channel Cthugha and Ithaqua, who have physical forms as well, though the ones we see are actually fragmentary manifestations of Al, since the relevant pages formed into them while separated.
