I love Samurai Jack so much but let's be honest. There were kind of dull episodes here and there that got too repetitive with Jack wandering around but the battles are indeed awesome. The Valhalla episode, the Scotsman, and his origins episode are one of the most memorable that sticks to me this day.

Honestly you're pretty much overreacting. There's only like around 5-10 good cartoons running right now. Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, Regular Show, Rick and Morty, Archer and whatever you put there. exactly, I have seen yaoi of lots of great shows, many childhood ruining moments followed. But it's this kind of stuff (as in the comic above)that is a balm on my many wounds. gravity falls, Regular Show, as well as other far crappier shows that actually made great porn. Just this week I saw someone in the Steven Universe fandom pretty much berating a girl who does fan-art for NOT killing herself when she had put up a post about having to be monitored.
It's the people like that who happen to be the loudest on Tumblr, which is why so many of us tend to look at the place with such disgust.

So what makes SU (which I have not watched more than 10 minutes of) "exempt from rule34"? It's right there in @imcatmo's answer: it's "progressive." The show's creators made it to reflect the new ideology, and the fans are so defending it, with all the baggage those statements imply. Are the Tumblrina-hate and demonizing of people who don't believe in "toxic masculinity" and "non-binary" gender a necessary part of those beliefs, or are the creators of these ideas and shows simply too frightened of their own followers to try and rein them in?
