The story starts with Kenta who is about to leave his home and go to school, he is extremely energetic while doing so, out of the house a few steps away he meets a girl who was waiting for him, it’s Ayame his girlfriend, Kenta immediately smiles and waves a good morning to her, the pretty girl is the cause of him being this eager to go school, Ayame responds in kind with a smile and so they go to school.

On the way to school Kenta reminisces how he started dating Ayame, it is presented in a compressed way, he finally gathers the courage to confess to the sweet Ayame, she is taken aback and blushes upon hearing it, she calms down and tells Kenta she also has liked for quite some time, they become a couple; the setting cuts forward to the first time they have sex (there’s no CG), it was awkward and sweet, just like innocent first timers.

Back to the present Kenta and Ayame discuss about their prospective for the future, as they are on their final year of High School, Kenta says he wants to go college and so does Ayame, Kenta immediately comes up with the idea for them to study hard and aim for the same College, Ayame thinks it’s sweet and says she will work hard to do so.

This ends Kenta’s POV, this game is basically all on Ayame’s POV from now on, with only 3 small cuts back to Kenta, pretty much 92% of the game is on her so it can be argued she is the MC instead of Kenta.

In her room Ayame starts musing about sex, she thinks of the love making she has been doing with Kenta, Ayame can’t help but wonder why the sex they have isn’t the same as the many ones portrayed in erotic manga and adult videos, she looks at those works and it seems the people in them are so immersed in pleasure while with Kenta she feels a bit of pain still and they don’t have any variety, doing in the missionary position all the time, Ayame remarks that she feels all warm and fuzzy when hugging, kissing and holding hands with Kenta, is just the sex that isn’t quite up there, she starts to think if there isn’t a way to practice, become better and have her love with Kenta be fulfilling in all parameters instead of just out of the bed.

After the deed is done Takatsuki smiles and jokingly reprimands his girl partner, she shouldn’t have moaned that loudly, saying that someone could come and someone did come, the girl says she couldn’t help herself since she was feeling so good, Takatsuki focus his attention on Ayame instead, jokingly asking her if she wants to be next, Ayame was lost in thought after hearing those two are just sex friends but snaps back to reality and shrugs Takatsuki off, saying she has a boyfriend and storms off, Takatsuki laughs and says he is free on the weekend if Ayame changes her mind, he says this to Ayame’s back as she doesn’t pay attention it, at first.

Ayame back home gets back to her mind storm, it doesn’t take much after witnessing Takatsuki’s love making and the fact he has chain of sex friends going that he can be what she is looking for, someone to improve her bed time with Kenta.

Important to note that Ayame’s character is very “peculiar” for this kind setting (plenty of cheating and becoming slutty), her resolve to improve things with Kenta in bed apparently is so strong that she somehow steels herself into believing that any of the stuff she will pull out from now on isn’t wrong per se, the concept of “cheating” warps itself on her mind and she feels barely any guilt, Ayame firmly believes she is doing this for Kenta, and with what will be detailed below you will see Ayame is one strange girl with a strong will.

Ayame contacts Takatsuki and they meet on the weekend; Ayame prepared herself to go straight to a love hotel and have a taste of Takatsuki and learn what he can do, Takatsuki though says he wants to have a date first, go to a café talk a little bit, Ayame says she didn’t want this, she just wanted to “study” Takatsuki, dates is what she has with Kenta her boyfriend, what she wants with Takatsuki is sex and nothing else, the guy is taken aback her words, thinking she was some frustrated Yamato Nadeshiko that wanted a full relationship on the side, oh well, Takatsuki says he proposed a date to create a mood, that is part of sex as well, Ayame goes along and they finally hit the hotel.

Takatsuki’s mentor is Kaido, a host that due his career path obviously has to know how to handle a woman if he wants keep himself fed well, Ayame goes to him and have him teach her further what men can do; in contrast to Takatsuki, Kaido takes Ayame right away to a hotel, she gets surprised for a second, thinking that since Kaido is Takatsuki’s “senpai” he would try to have a date first, she quickly forgets that and gets ready for bed. Kaido knows more bold postions than Takatsuki and he can keep going for several rounds, different from Takatsuki too is the fact Ayame meets with Kaido more than once, to teach her more and more, it gets to the point the non-committal Kaido actually falls for her and asks Ayame to be his girlfriend, she stops him in his tracks, she puts her feet down and says she has a boyfriend and that man in Kenta, Kaido gets impressed at her devotion to this Kenta person and stops pursuing, before finishing Ayame asks for a commemorative photo, apparently she has taken a liking to this thing.

Takatsuki and Kaido’s “lessons” are over, Ayame is seen back to normal studies, can’t forget she has to keep up with her academic studies and go to the same college as Kenta; here we are introduced to Kimura, the teacher in Ayame’s cram school, he is a popular teacher with the girls, handsome for his age, married and with a son, a wonderful person everyone wants to have around, Ayame start to get lost in thought and wonders what kind of sex Kimura has with his wife, from wondering she starts ploting on how to get the diligent husband to have sex with in order to find out what she can “teach” him.

This is a really weird setting, Ayame’s devotion is warped but she never falls to other men, the man she sleeps with don’t pursue further when she claims her ownership is towards Kenta, the dudes aren’t evil Netorare men either, they are presented as quite nice guys, womanizers that are sleeping with a relationship committed girl sure but they don’t have that NTR dude aura, everyone here is so wrong but they are nice at the same time, weird shit.

This game has no choices either, so Ayame will remain “faithful” always, I replayed the game three times because Atelier is known for having choices unlocking on following playthroughs but nope, nothing new happened.
