I find this bad ending to be one of the more understandable/tolerable ones in terms of Sanbun's larger manga. From the get-go, we see the hypnotist to be very intelligent and obviously knows what he is doing, which implies he has done this before. Now, this does leave the potential for a story-arc about the hypnotist, but I find it unlikely that it will be explored. In any case, the manga is pretty good with how the hypnosis was executed and there were even explanations on what was being done to their minds. That bit of realism is always a plus in storytelling.

As for this bad ending, I think most of Sanbun's larger pieces has to have at least some sort of bad or good ending so that we can see both perspectives or routes, just like we see in hentai games.

I would like to see another larger manga with mind control and hypnotism at the forefront. Maybe one like the Kusari manga where there is a shota antagonist who uses toys, bondage, and aphrodisiacs to get the corruption going.

In my opinion, I actually quite like the alternate endings Sanbun makes because there is a choice that each reader can enjoy. Plus, it makes the respective manga just that bit longer.
