"if i romanify it it would be paradokksu, if it was pha-la-dogs i'd expect them to do ぱらどっぐす since then it actually have the G sounds, and paradokksu sounds a lot like paradox especially since the way they usually write X in katakana is a ku+s-sound.

i still would call them paradox tbh, or パラドックス."

"I'm not a Japanese native or anything, but isn't the last part "kusu"? Not "Dogs"? And the first part "Para", not "Pha"? I could be wrong though."
