Well, what do you know! Despite what I said in the orignal gallery for this one, about translating it only after a few other Chijoku An-stuff I'm in the process of translating were done... I gave in to my urge to translate it and here we are. Enjoy!

The boring stuff: I'm not a native english speaker, not all that good at japanese either and I work alone to boot, meaning you're likely to run into errors and the like of all kinds. And as far as that goes, I can only say that I apologize for the inconvenience...

Hafini: Well, another of the Chijoku An stories I'm translating deals with one such, so you san see it then. Mind you, it's not much outside a mix of learning how to do household chores, the whole 'make me a sammich' deal as well as a healthy dose of humiliation mixed into it :p

Joxepe: As mac77 says, I'd say it has to do with that school being a very prestigeous one, one of those you-re-almost-guaranteed-to-get-a-job-after-graduation ones, so even attending and graduating it as a slave could be seen as worth it on the paper, or at least by the parents who won't have to undergo any of the 'slave' stuff themselves and/or make light of the whole 'broken/mindbroken in the process' thingy...

I like how more stories are popping up to legalize sex slavery or prostitution.

@imercenary maybe it's just me, but I feel like some artist have really been getting into the idea of kids and teens selling themselves on some legal level, instead of girls sleeping around for fun or for cash, and not so much with boys cross dressing outside of romantic comedy hijinks in the past.

@Joxepe - I think stories like these works on the assumption that the economy or the world is hitting it's lowest points and population is also at it's highest peak so it's really hard to stand out in the job market. Your entire life is determined by how good/rich/popular/etc your high school and college is. If you go to a cheap school you are doomed to hit a wall while climbing the ladder at any office, or never get accepted for anything other than a some dead end low wage job. It's (somehow) less painful to roll back your years or even sell yourself to stay where you are then settle for a normal public school.

The subject matter is really good. I love the story. The translation is a bit stiff and formal, but readable. Having a native English speaker edit the translation to make it sound more natural would be a good step.
