@ joe375 It was a man actually, and he was complaining cause his daughter played the game and it would set a bad standard for her which by the way great parenting complaining about sexualization of a character but letting a child play a game were the characters kill each other. If memory serves it was a parent that felt it was inappropriate. Some story about his young daughter seeing it or somesuch.
A head of something or other at Blizz folded over like a whimpering beta-male and had it changed, citing a reason about it not fitting the character in the first place and that they had a bunch of other poses.
I can somewhat understand the action, considering that Overwatch is apparently built on the remains of a dead Blizz project called Titan. They probably didn't want to risk ANY sort of bad publicity.

As I said, I can somewhat understand it... but I definitely do not approve of it. It's a game in which characters are physically assaulting each other in all manner of methods, but an ass-pose? NUUUU!!!

But what does that matter? I'm just another faceless gamer, completely pervving over Amélie Lacroix.

@Unimportante - *shrug* You say compromised, I say complied. Either way it's a steaming pile of hypocrisy. I don't recall anyone complaining about Hanzo's half-naked torso or how about Roadhog's pierced nipple skins? Still, I should be grateful that Widowmaker (yummy) still has her "over the shoulder" butt pose as does Mercy. Not to mention the one in which Symmetra is veritably shoving her ass towards the screen.

Czech dev said (Kingdom Come: Deliverance dev if I recall well, to people who are pissed HOW THE HELL IN MIDDLE AGE EUROPE THERE AREN'T LOT OF BLACK PEOPLE - which is simple to explain. But that's topic for other day.) - (Not a precise quote I must mention, but it's about message) - From where the hell came idea that white devs must make their games fit for all cultures. - So yeah. I think that it should be acceptable that some stuff just isn't made for every-goddamn-body. Sometimes there should be game that will be focused more at man. Sometimes there should be also game focused at women. What who likes. But there shouldn't be Super-Stigma for man-focused games (I'm totally not thinking about Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3, when writing this. Totally not at all.). With that also should be understood that devs will go to direction where is more money. But then again such situation could result in game that would be really focused at what women gamer would prefer to get a big success. But that's so much more of food for thinking that I've might screwed up logic in this wall of text.

@Brufh - Well that says a lot. Then again - Overwatch is PEGI 12, so ya know - in theory it should be fine for younger to play, and at least - parent cares what kid plays - that's a good thing in some way. Far worse are parent that don't give a single shit about stuff kid is doing, so well. And dad stereotypes are well known and it's kinda obvious from where they come - therefore I'm not really that surprised. At least he cares. Also new pose was just with more of Tracer cheerfulness while not really dropping that bit sexy element of original. So more of compromise option that makes sense, in which I could actually believe bit in that part about "that pose not fitting to Tracer personality".

Also if there is some stuff that contradicts each other in my text, please point it out, I prefer to know if I've screwed up trying to write what I wanted.
