I don't have time to look for new web comics all the time. There so much crap out there, especially crappy things in genres I like, that I'm sick of reading around. But I come here like 10 times a day to look for new stuff; be it cool kinda-smutty kinda-funny comics, wank-fests written by my favourite artist, or teeth-rotting vanilla feel good shit. If all these artists rely on people coming to their blog, or tumblr, or pixev or HF page or whatever, they'd never get noticed, not in a big way. Bring it here, tag it appropriately, and if it looks good, is rated good, and it doesn't have crap I don't like, I'll find it. If it's real good, or does something unique, or whatever, I (and tons of people like em) will find them, go to their blogs, give 'em ad revenue, commission shit and maybe even patreon them.

It's similar to the Japanese artist issue. Sure, it's piracy, but it's piracy in a non-existent market. Do you think I'd buy hentai if it was in Japanese? No way in hell. But it gets scanned and translated, and people read it. They find artists they like. Those folks might go on to buy a digital copy (assuming the artist sells stuff that way) just for the sake of supporting the artist. If they fight piracy, such as Jewcob and his Wani overlords, then those artists fall back into unknown standings. I used to like so many artists that I can't even remember any more. Even if they sold things, I forget who they are or what works they did. I won't buy it. But the fellas that begrudgingly allow this website to exist gain fans, and a bit of filthy American moolah that they otherwise would never make.

If it's here, tons of people will see it. Business sense, friend.

the art style is really similar to blaster nation but with clearly more legit nudity thrown in. I like that, blaster nation didn't need nudity for like, 85% of it but when the odd moment struck it was odd to see it "tastefully censored" especially on an NSFW site as all the ads claimed. here it's just, out there. granted so far this plot could have worked with or without the sex scenes cut out, but what the hell I can go for it just emphasizing beginnings or endings to certain stories arcs.

I end this at four am with the final thought that i wish I was smart or brave enough to just hop in a van and just start making art and selling it for gas and food.only problem is the closest thing I have to art are these 4 AM comments.

..I.. My words can't express how perfect this comic is. But I will try to express them in any possible way;; This comic is surely amazing, and its story is well written. I like how a part of this comic focuses in talent just like how talented the artist who is making it. The art style perfectly fits with the story, and those characters do have absolutely great personalities, expressions and feelings as it fits with the appearance in most possible ways. It also can drive you and those who probably don't find the porn they want, to continue and read this well-written story.

The sex scenes in it is also very good looking drawn, but the story has the feeling which will make you continue read this comic for more. I like how the two main character's feels and love between each others and they still are cheered and hoping for their goals to come true and won't give up in it. But anyway, since I seem to repeat myself and don't want to take more words from those who wants to type paragraphs to express their feelings towards this webcomic. Here's my last words on this comment:

To the artist who made and still making this comic. Please keep up the hard work, I'm pretty sure lots of people would follow this comic for who knows when and I'm pretty sure they love it a lot and want more of it. My opinion on this comic also that it deserves to be one of the best current modern western comics. You sure have some great ideas to make the story as well and I hope you keep continuing on it. Thank you for making this comic.

Guys, this is bullshit. Whenever there is a character that's black/trans/gay/somehow different, it has a a good chance of launching "They are pandering" outrage, and it's frankly ridiculous. It implies that most of our entertainment overall, is pandering to white, straight population, which I don't think it is. White and straight, is the norm in western world and therefore that's how most of media has just been.
It doesn't however mean, that anything that does not conform to the said standard, is somehow pandering or wrong. It's just different.
This comic is about normalizing sex in society, making it less of a taboo. If you assumed it was just normalizing straight sex for some reason (which is pandering to you, apparently), you clearly haven't paid attention after chapter 1.

This may have not been the first time Seth has done something like this.

As we've seen earlier, Melody has a habit of having a passion project, only to get bored of it and flit off to the next shiny thing.

Thing is, Melody seems to attract talented people to whatever project she's doing at that moment. Many of them will flee as sooin as they realise that Melody doesn't care for the venture anymore.

Some of them, like Coral and Clover, seem to stick with the project out of some misguided loyalty to Melody.

What's to say that Seth isn't keeping track of each of these projects, coming in once Melody flits off and finding those left behind who have talent STABLE jobs?

(As for why he's shocked at the state of Melody's Resort when he's been seen as being on the ball, well, he's been busy working with Steg and Suria that it may have slipped under his usual laser-precise glare)

Seth did the right thing. Melody isn't malicious, but she's stupid; and stupidity is often more harmful than malice. Had Seth turned a blind eye, Clover and Coral would be fucked later on (and not in a good way.)

Overall I'm really enjoying this comic. Not a big fan of the gay scenes between Georgie and Seth (I bet gays and bis see the appeal though), but they don't feel pulled out of nowhere; I simply read the dialogue and move on. Plus they're often preceded/followed by scenes with Elizabeth schlicking that are always a treat to see.

@lumpisan A simple google search that anyone would do before allowing someone to use their venue would have shown the music video and multiple gossip news reports about the band and what they stand for, so really that was some crappy business practices on the owners account, also is it normal to either not sign a contract with a venue or at least for the contract to be legally breakable on only a three day notice?

I've been with this comic from the start and I think this comic has a real pacing problem.
Keep in mind we get 3 pages a week, which admittedly is a lot.
Consider pages 559 onwards:
They get into the bus, nothing happens. New page. They drive towards their destination, nothing happens. New page. They spend a whole day on the road, nothing happens.
That was a week worth of content, next:
They get out to get some gas resupply. New page. They arrive. New page. Establishing shot.

The time it took that comic to even get from A to B the reader could have driven there in real life and back.
And all of this plus some change for a "twist" that a band who's entire gimmick is sex does not fair well in TEXAS.
I mean, I enjoy this comic, but man, maybe it would work out better printed. Because while all the fluff is nice
in a comic with 25-30 pages an issue this is just grating occasionally.

I think Emily Roller's sexual nature is going to end up interfering with Roxanne's vision of Rocket Roller as a "wholesome" band. Which will in turn lead to conflict between Emily and Roxanne, and possibly Billy too.

Plus, on the character page, Emily is said to be a "chronic masturbator" which has yet to be shown in comic, but I predict it'll become plot relevant.

Also, the fangirls have a phone, so if they're lucky and feeling particularly spiteful for not getting a selfie with Billy, then they could take an upskirt picture of Emily and leak it to the media.

This is one of the most tediously boring stories I've ever read. The difficulties the characters face are always resolved as swiftly as possible, and with as much copious application of the creators's pet crusade ("nudity good! sex good! solves all things!") as there is semen in the comic.

This whole thing with Rocket Roller actually posing a serious threat to the protagonists was IMMEDIATELY drained of all tension by the reveal that they're just as hyperactively sexual and are stifling themselves in order to be more marketable. The resolution is painfully obvious thanks to that and the writing isn't good enough to make me not care that I've already predicted the plot.

The art is just so damn pretty, though. It's like reading anything by Bleedman, where one aspect is so good it overpowers the bad. Like art-based Stockholm.

IMO this comic doesn't know what it wants to be. It tries to balance porn and plot and ends up having a plot that's too thin, basic and bare, and porn that is too short and vanilla.

A shame because Leslie's artwork is so nice and distinctive and the story started out as a funny care-free lewd romp. I can see where they were going, and I applaud Leslie and Brad for trying, but it's very difficult to pull it off and they ultimately, IMO, they fell short and failed on both accounts.

Still, I'd rather see more people trying to do porn with a plot that tries to go somewhere instead of an endless parade of self-contained fap fodder.

After reading roughly half of what’s out, my opinion is: this is one of the coolest American things I’ve come across since I discovered "Omaha the Cat Dancer", many years ago.

I once read an "Omaha" review stating the comic was "a little on the sunny side of life": "There’s very little mention of sexual disease or AIDS, date rape, abortion or homophobia. Sometimes, you feel that some of the criticisms from readers in the comics’ letter pages about Omaha’s sunny stance were justified."

Guess what? I was okay with that. For me, Omaha’s power lay in questioning things nobody around me had ever questioned before that, at least not in any intellectual manner. Combined with enjoyable sex scenes and personalities I could believe in, that made for just the comic I needed back in those days.

Nowadays, most of the comics that have something to say to me are grimdark. Works like this one are rare exceptions. Yeah, if "Omaha" was "a little on the sunny side", then this is guaranteed to be there. The story’s got attitude, and yet it actually has less violence than "Scott Pilgrim", which feels unbelievable. It could probably use some more moments of people getting realistically difficult because of their insecurities, addictions, etc. (like they did in "Omaha"!), but I’m not complaining. The threats represented by financial hardships and the mere existence of Roxanne Richards are enough to keep up the minimal tension needed. I can concentrate on the dynamics between the characters, which are presented in an interesting if optimistic way. I’ll just return to "Scattered" if I feel like being reminded of how human relations proceed all too often.

I can see the later turns of the story are raising more than a little criticism, and I do already see more than one point where this could go wrong. Whatever, I’ll keep enjoying it as long as it’s fun. Just like Suria and Steg would.
