A small summer evening party finally allows the blunt, awkward weapon of war and the gorgeous, precious daughter of the Toushirou squad to spend some precious time together, and find out that Dodanuki might be more than the brute warrior that he tries to be.

Also Ichi threatens to cut off Tsurumaru’s dick. (understandable.)

The artist characterises Midare as a trans girl (feminine descriptors are used for her, and their pixiv comics (which are not tagged as BL and the artist has removed those tags before) portray her wanting to become more feminine/wanting breasts and such) so we respected the author’s wishes here.

I’d definitely love to translate more of their stuff, or other TanuMida works in general, so look forwards to that!

Well... you respected the author's wishes only so much as the translation. The tagging on here though... not so much.

I'm glad to finally see a trans woman in a hentai be respected for her identity, at least by the translators.

roxipup123: About the tagging, does this site even have the kind of tags that would respect the author's wishes? If it does, I haven't seen them.

Kiruka: Likely not! But that's the fault of the website and it's preference against such tags. I mean... its something one CAN change after all.

@roxipup123 while I can see your point, it's important to note what tags are used for. People look on the crossdressing tag to find (usually) 2 males. I wouldn't want some poor user to find out 10 pages into some hentai manga that the """girl""" has a penis.

IS there any other trans doujins like this?

@Semaj_ That IS the point. The vast majority of the tags that this is being tagged with are usually filled with "OMG ITS A GUY' stuff rather than non-transphobic stuff. I get that this website will give me a negative score because they don't mind and/or like that stuff, but its far different from how a trans-woman would want to be read etc.

The easy answer is to make a separate note like "Trans woman" or something.

Not to mention 'Poor users" already complain on half of the comments that they got tricked or something. Not everyone is into all the porn with the tag they like... they can get over it.

If you want to pretend to respect the authors wishes... do it. But don't lie to yourself if you don't actually want to. That includes tagging.

@roxipup123: I have a hard time turning a blind eye to the underdog, so I did a little research onto how tagging works here. If you're really that passionate about it, why not take it to the forums, in the section that deals with creating new tags? Nobody in the comments section of a single doujin is really going to be able to do anything about getting new tags approved.

https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showforum=74

If you can present it in a way that will make it seem beneficial to those searching specifically for transgirl porn, and not just for the purpose of being politically correct or non-transphobic (I'm not trying to pick a fight, but the best way to get another party to agree with you is to tell them how your idea benefits them), you might get some results. As it stands, a "shemale" tag exists that goes under the "female" category, and is defined as, "Girls that have male genitals but not a vagina." The law of averages says you're probably not a fan of the word "shemale", but the fact that there's a tag for some manner of XY chromosome characters under the "female" category might give you a good starting point for your case. And make sure you read the sticky threads. As long as you play by the established rules, there's no reason to not let your voice be heard.

That being said, I'm going to play devil's advocate with you a bit. Personally, the way the tags are (even on this work) doesn't offend me to the point of wanting to go on a crusade. Even if something offends me, that doesn't mean I won't try to understand why it is the way it is if there's some kind of reasoning to be had. Tags on a site like this (or a *Booru, etc.) are only meant to help people find the content they like. Between the tags "tomgirl", "yaoi", and "crossdressing", I can usually find the sort of mangas that make me happy (the tomgirl tag in particular is really helpful, but it's also really new and needs to be applied to a lot of older works). I'll usually know by looking at the first page and the other fetish tags if I'm going to like the work, which takes all of 10 seconds. In my opinion, a cataloging system on a hentai site (especially one that's been around for over a decade) being non-inclusive to modern trans* terminology shouldn't be perceived the same way as some frat boy calling you or me a "fag" just so we know exactly how cultured and refined he is.

What DOES offend me is Burger King calling their burgers "sandwiches", when their name is literally BURGER King. If the burgers identify as sandwiches, fine, but change the name to Sandwich King.

(Sorry for the excessively long post. I'll try not to do it too often.)

"Shemale" Is something I've gotten use to honestly. At least its a term that's been used for trans women for ages. And it also originated in reference to all women (then went to prostitutes, and subsequently trans women)

But this isn't tagged Shemale is it?

I'm not saying this "Offends me" so I'm not sure why you brought that up? I'm saying, if you want to respect the authors wishes, do so. But if you don't, don't pretend to respect them. Thats it.

The truth is I mixed two unrelated discussions. The concept of authorial respect (which isn't being displayed here) and my own personal interests in trans-positive porn. With the vast majority of "tomgirl" stuff not being trans positive, the argument for that tag falls flat. And... when does non-inclusive terminology apply? 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? I mean... you are basically arguing that my criticism is apt but not to expect much. I'm not expecting much! Honest! I just felt like replying because I don't want the only perspective on this website to be transphobic.

This website isn't going to listen to me. I realize that! Its ok.

There probably isn't much of a benefit to many people here... I doubt I could make that argument. I mean, who here actually searches for trans-positive porn? Yall don't care. I understand that.

But is asking for porn to be a little less transphobic too much? Or... perhaps... if you are going to be transphobic... at least admit it?

@roxipup123 If I got it right your biggest disappointment is over OP saying something, but not displaying it in tags. I haven't seen it clearly stated anywhere, but anybody can tag a work on this site. I've uploaded several works here and new tags, I didn't even think of, popped up seconds after I made it public. So it's hard to say which tags OP initially added. I still find adding tags a bit confusing (i always thought the purpose is of fitting work in already existing tags so they're easier to be found and can be presented to people that search for similar works), so tbh I wouldn't really think of adding any more trans accurate/trans-positive tags to begging with, even if the work displayed that. But OP has more experience with uploading here so they could know better, and in this case shemale probably is missing, however I'm not familiar enough with ti to add it myself.

okay I've not wanted to comment because I've been upvoting roxipup's comments because!! shock horror!! they're in the right and p much everyone else is in the wrong!!

thing is, whatever the original uploader tags has shit to do with what the final tags are. believe me, if I could tag female:trans and remove the yaoi tags and stuff, I would, but--

unfortunately this is... a porn site, mostly aimed towards cis men who are-- het but in a really weird transphobic way re:straight stuff with trans women; and the tagging system isn't currently set up in a way to facilitate trans-positive tagging. Would it be possible to change that? I think so! unfortunately I don't really like, frequent this site for the purposes most people do, so I'm not sure how much of a change I could make, nor do I feel incredibly inclined to get myself involved with the community here. If you actually went through the process Kiruka described, tho, I'd definitely help out, but-- yeah.

shemale is a fucking awful transphobic term and i refuse 100% to tag stuff with it.

Jesus fuck, this comment section reads like Youtube. How horrifying. This kind of shit is why I barely ever mention gender or the related in my releases. It brings the armchair activists out of the woodwork; the kind of people that think the tags on this hentai site should be about facilitating trans-positive thinking rather than making it easy for people to find hentai works that have the shit they want to fap to in them. I think the part that made me laugh (cry) the hardest here is that there isn't even a single mention of anything related to Midare being trans or not in the work itself. It's all tertiary shit validated by the game devs or work author. Which makes it completely irrelevant for the average person that just wants to read a cute story or fap to a girly looking person with a penis.

Even though I have to do an extra commission now to make up for the double release, I'm actually quite glad you released this, SAD. It seems like it kept the crazy people off my release. :)
