First of all it's very common for Netorare authors to set up a vanilla chapter for a Netorare sequel (or sometimes a Side A & B).
Also the shift to another genre isn't really uncommon you know, a lot of popular authors had roots like niche genres like Yaoi, and Guro, some did NTR, and vanilla and changed to other genres because either they burned out or they're audience grew tired. There's also the fact that a lot of the time it's just a temporary shift for a couple one shot or quick series.
