I was also quite confused with the story and the ending as well. This is my theory and fyi i cant read japanese at all, so Im really just making a guess that could be right or completely off but from what I can see the app called Another Line, at first we think of it as some sort of augmented reality that allows the MC to somehow bend reality however he wishes like going out with the cashier in the first chapter, changing his old landlady to a hot woman, stealing someone else's girlfriend, etc. but it might turn out to be the MC going into parallel worlds and at the ending it showed how the MC in a parallel world went out with the cashier girl. Could anyone confirm this? Was I even remotely close or completely off?
