The author is Thai. And yes, the phasing is odd. Sometime it's hard to translate from a very Thai-ish phase to English while maintaining the original story, or else you risk changing the core message.

So it's an original English release by a Thai author. It's still terribly translated. Our protagonist called his employer, the head of the house, mistress and later mother. Pretty sure he meant madam.

Either the translation is wrong or the author was high while writing the manga. because the story doesn't make Sense
