I'm genuinely surprised that the courts took this case to such great lengths. It was a large blow to the entire community of artists and we, as fans, are feeling it even nowadays. A shame, really.

But as a hentai gooner with experience i can say there were quite more cases with light censorship like this (before and after) that got away with it because there simply was no one to report it, which leads me to think that act 175 is not strictly enforced, by which I mean that all porn is not closely and infallibly monitored at all times, but possibility of prosecution scares everyone from disobeying it. Although, It's Impressive how author of misshitsu had the balls to challenge this indecency law on the basis of it being anti freedom of speech in the first place.
