I think it really comes down to the layout of the pages why many people don't like it. There's something dull and unimaginative about it, although the artwork is pretty good. I know that it's meant to be read on a tablet, but a layout is a very important story device.

It's called long strip format. If you've ever read a translated non-h webtoon on batoto you'll see the teams mention "Don't cut this release!"
Every "chapter" is a large number of frames stacked vertically, typically 1 or maybe 2 long strip pages per week. It looks like shit if you present it like it is here. It's like taking an online news article and turning it into a few pages instead of just letting everyone read it in one piece. It'd probably look even worse due to height restrictions if it weren't done this way though.
