@Grailm I don't see what is wrong with that. The fox spirit has always been part of her, since she has youkai blood, if anything, her "human" part that loves him is not the "real" her. Fusing her human and youkai part together doesn't mean she lost herself, in fact, you can even say that her humanity won in the end, given that she's still in love with him.
