Darknight, why do you italicize and boldface random words in the dialogue? It's so distracting to read. Is this some desire to replicate Western comic dialogue? It's completely unnecessary and quite an eyesore. Tuning it out while reading Traumerei was a near-impossible task for me and now I see it again here. I wish you'd stop doing it.

Because katakana. Original authors chose to bold certain terms (kinda, nothing's 1-to-1), I'm just retaining it with an English typeset equivalent, where possible. It is by no means the only "right" way to do a translation, nor my choices to bold most words that use full or partial katakana, but not most names, anything other than a subjective choice. But yeah, that's the reason. Might consider playing around with not doing bold on a future release to see how it feels these days, but no promises.

Katakana doesn't automatically mean that you have to do something differently in the translation. Seriously, I just looked over the raw briefly and noticed you even bolded+italicized onomatopoeic words like ピクピク and カチカチ and even direct loanwords like データ (data), キス (kiss) and even Ｈ (sex). What the hell man? Consider the following: there is nothing to translate. What is the difference in meaning between writing まし and マシ? Is there a significant difference? Does this have to distract from the translation? Maybe the author just felt like using one script over another. Maybe "better" isn't some key word that I have to think about/emphasize while reading. Maybe it's just another word. Maybe some words are just written in katakana by default. Maybe you should consider which words actually ARE important and require emphasis in the translation instead of deciding that every single katakana word is such. Otherwise, it just becomes a mess of randomly-emphasized words that detract from the final product.

Ah, don't need to bother explaining that then. So yeah: was entirely a personal choice. And yes, I don't have to, and it may not be any given authors original intent, but Import words and onomatopoeic words are emphasis choices too, so I don't see anything inherently "wrong" with it either, and I liked the way it looked, so I kept doing it in the way I liked. I'm sorry you don't, everyone's entitled to their tastes, and I'm not entirely opposed to giving another way a try, but yeah, I will continue doing whatever I find I like the best.
