What exactly is spurring the anger against some of these scans? Is it because of the quality or what? I'm genuinely curious.

By uploading such low quality scans, LWND is sabotaging efforts to get doujins properly scanned/translated. His opinion is that simply using Photoshop or something to re-upscale the scans is simple enough.

It's not. JPEGs contain artifacts due to the image simplifying algorithm which strips data from the original BMP/PNG image. This makes the editing/cleanup job much harder on translators due to the massive amount of artifacts they have deal with on such a downscale/low quality (JPEG vs PNG/BMP)...

I don't think he'll understand just how damaging he's being to the translation community since none of the Korean translators have told him to stop uploading such low quality and it seems Korean is his primary language based on some comments he's left on his uploads. I feel it's the only way to properly communicate that while he thinks providing these scans for free is a service, he's actually doing a disservice to many fans/translation groups.

You know how CGRascal gets flak for some translations due to not bothering with QA, etc before uploading? It's in a similar vein.

My opinion is slightly different from BerserkShinji01.
I myself basically do not need translated version.
Why uploading raw is because you want other users to upload raw as well.

Sharing is established only after each other has merit.
I have done various activities in the past for that purpose.
If no one uploads raw, I will probably leave this site.

I do not limit the use of my raw for translation.
It is because I think that it will lead to mutual benefit.

His behavior is an act of hindering that sharing.
And it is only a foolish behavior to take out C 91 which may be uploaded from now on.

Recently the number of scanners has decreased.
I think that it is natural that actions that cause the scanner to lose motivation are criticized.

사람들에게 더 나은 스캔본을 보여주면서 제 갤러리를 지우고 싶다면 동인지를 소장하고있어서 제대로된 스캔하면 되는거에요
번역하려면 화질조정 못하는것도아니고
무엇보다 화질좋은 동인지가 스캔되어서 올려진다는 보장자체가 없는데요?
가능성이 보장되지않는것에 배려를 해야한다는건 무슨 궤변인가요
애초에 대다수의 익헨유저가 반대한다면 평점이 4점대가 나올리가없죠
