Bloody brilliant, what a captivating story especially considering that this comic was printed in the early 2000!
The things mentioned in it are actually very relevant to the current state of our world. For instance; at some point, one of the protagonists brings up the N.S.A and Prism operation.
Apparently, we had to wait for snowden, a figure which is highly praised and glorified by the media, the saviour of our privacy (nevermind the others who blew the whistle before and gave warnings, they are not important at all)... Who the hell cares about rms, bruce perens or even raymond? Snowden is young, beautiful, you can get good publicity and you can even rake more profit by releasing a movie about this hero!
What a load of crap, with a bit of research and involvement, anyone could have known about mass surveillance and privacy concerns of this extent way before 2014-2015.
But it does not matter, people are willingly turning a blind eye to the problem. They cry about their privacy being violated and their freedom taken away from them but in the end they all flock to facebook, they fill the neverending databases with their personal info which ends up datamined.
I could go on and on about this but you get the picture. I just felt like expressing my opinion about one of the questions raised by the authors.
Please do yourself a favor and consider reading 'Le Cybertueur'. That is if you know French. You could learn it. Or kidnap an French person and force him to translate this gem for you (convince him by pouring bottles of fine wines down the drain, that should do the trick!)
