This a new spin I had not thought of even though I have played lots of Elf fantasy games almost all with resurrection. I like it you can eat your Elf and have your Elf too.

If they could have ressurected their dead friends from monster crap there would have been no reason for them to have rushed down into the dungeon while using monsters for food like they did. There wouldn't have been the urgency that the whole start of the story was built around. The comic writer could have had her party defeat the monster or get it to throw up her corpse so they could ressurect it and stayed more true to the story.

The author also screwed up some names
