And yet the argument goes right back around. Originally, the concept of vanilla was 'plain' or 'typical' or perhaps 'ordinary'. With how much anime and animated porn has evolved over the years, the scope has gotten too broad. Eventually, I've simplified my classifications to: vanilla, ntr and everything in between, which should reflect on how vast and varied the genres have become. Heck, we never had furries the way we do now, and even then they're varied between anthropomorphized animals and human-esque beings with animal biological features.

In short, you've got your brand of vanilla, we have ours. Here's a few articles and discussions with their own take on what vanilla is, was or has become. Heck, the third discussion has the original poster state that hentai and general anime have exclusive definitions of vanilla. Again, these are all unofficial sources, but they would suffice since this discussion, in the end, is centered on personal opinion.

P.S. You say 'solo male + solo female + mono relation' and that adding something else would invalidate the vanilla aspect of it. So what if we have light bdsm with some rape play involved? For the record, if you were to disregard the series in general and just view this chapter in particular, then you'd have to admit that, by your definition, it IS vanilla. One male, one female, missionary (the most vanilla of all vanilla positions), consensual intercourse and generally happy feelings all around; although the scent fetish can make it arguable if a person's REALLY anal about traditional vanilla. But then, it gets even more contestable if you take the series as a whole, since harem was never part of the original definition for vanilla. On the other hand, if you take the series' individual chapters into separate considerations, then most of them would fall under vanilla as well, more or less. Aya's first H-chapter would of course be not among them, but then on the other hand, again, if you then take the series as a whole, her chapter would then have a more vanilla feel to it when you consider that she's not as opposed to it in later chapters. Heck it takes a whole new level when you consider her to be tsundere, though the Tsun is definitely strong in this one. Add it all up, and vanilla seems more like a scale than a set definition. And then, that scale might be something like Vanilla vs. NTR, or Vanilla vs. Super Kinky/Deviant.

That's just my take, though. Still, I see the series, especially this chapter, as vanilla. But then, it's more MY kind of vanilla.

One more thing. You say that harem and vanilla are mutually exclusive, and yet some would argue (like Fakku) otherwise, hence tagging some stories as Vanilla+Harem. That seems more like a difference in opinion, then, as much as it is a difference of perspective and definition.

I did not disregard the series and just view this chapter as a stand alone. My comment was on this series, from chapter 1 of volume 1, not just on this chapter as a stand alone.

This series is not in the point of view of any female in this story, it is in the point of view of the dude that fucking all those female and that dude is just doing his duty as coach for them, satisfy those female sexual need.

Another great chapter, though I wish this one had been longer. Unfortunately it coincided with the release of the tank so DISTANCE presumably didn't have the time to complete his usual 40 pager. I do think that the at least the original 5 girls will end this series pregnant with Koutarou's kids. Chapter 4 showed that Moimoi is a) a wealthy heiress, and b) being pressured by her family to marry. If Koutarou marries Moimoi, then he'll have so much money that it won't matter how many girls he gets pregnant (especially since Moimoi will obviously be happy to continue sharing Koutarou with the rest of the harem).
