My first reaction to your comment was to laugh (not at you), only because there's such a huge percentage of material on this site dedicated to having women get the shit raped out of them by either ugly dudes, fat dudes, old dudes, animals, or a combination of the above, especially if you are a "goodie" girl, a goddess named Belldandy, or if you are an elf female. Afterward they often become broken cock slaves, whereupon more often than not, they are farmed out, impregnated, and mentally and physically abused like mad. In those stories, the guys involved are complete and total scumbags whom I'd like to club like a baby seal.

Still, I understand why you'd think the MC is a pretty big scumbag. However, I don't quite see it that way, at least not totally.

First off, MC happens upon Mika by chance. He does a nice deed and his wildest male teenage fantasy comes true -- the babe Mika blows him and starts a sexual relationship with the MC. We can infer that the MC isn't a popular guy or the like. He keeps coming to the shelter on rainy days to see Mika and to have sex with her. If he were getting some at school, I doubt he'd bother continually returning to the shelter to seek out Mika. Plus, the MC is clearly looking for a girlfriend. On page eight after they have sex, he seems troubled by their relationship. He complains that she's always going away somewhere. But as a teenager with raging hormones and Mika always being willing, he's always going to seek her out every time it rains, even if the relationship isn't what he'd ultimately like.

When Mika reveals she's lactating, the MC has a look of betrayal (page 10). Mika is sleeping with someone else and apparently carrying someone else's child. He's jealous and a bit shocked when she reveals her father has been fucking her. However, when she says this as if it is no big thing, combined with sucking him, then laying back in a submissive fashion that invites him to fuck her, the MC snaps. He's angry by her attitude and what he views as a betrayal. So he starts grudge fucking Mika while choking her. This aspect I can agree on is very evil on his part. It is the one area I cannot sympathize with the MC on, though I think I understand his rage and desire to grudge fuck her.

When the MC starts fucking Mika the second time, he's no longer grudge fucking her. In his own pathetic way, he's attempting to claim her and get her to stop having sex with her father. He's not thinking as an adult. He's thinking as a horny, lonely teenager desperate for a girlfriend. Thus he doesn't see the broken girl we do. He sees the girl he loves (in his own way) having sex with someone she shouldn't and he's going to stop that.

I got the impression that during that claiming sex round, Mika may have had her first orgasm. In her own broken way, she does love the MC. Rain brings her comfort 'cause she gets to see the MC, she gets to eat the food the MC brings her, and she doesn't have to go home to her father. It is troubling and sad, but this means that the MC as been a ray of sunshine for her. In that light, can the MC really be a total scumbag?

So I would agree that the MC choking Mika while he grudge fucked her is the actions of a scumbag. I don't think he's a total scumbag because he doesn't see Mika as broken. He sees her as his girlfriend with whom he'd like to have a normal relationship and get her away from her fucked up situation.

That's my two cents, for better or worse.
