Funny, but either theres either a translation error or the writing error.

Tsukumogami aren't gods/goddesses. They're spirits. Japanese mythology has a pretty hard line between the two.

I saw the note, but I know the Japanese language (and Japanese mythology) is extremely nuanced and extremely specific in regards to stuff like this.

Calling a tsukumogami a god/goddess would be the English equivalent of calling a vampire a dragon. There CAN be a vampire dragon, the same way there CAN be a tsukumogami god/goddess, but the two are in such different categories (beyond "mythological creatures"), that its more reasonable to assume there was simply an error somewhere along the way.
