Personally, I'm not a fan of this doujin. I'm also a little pissed at how the text was arranged... what's wrong with bubbles, exactly? ...and why cover up half the art with all that text?

Hi - I did it by converting .psd files directly into .png files using xnconvert, which might be causing some bloat. I figure that since the thing gets downscaled while reading anyway, it doesn't really matter how large the files are. The advice on that seems to outdated in its aim for space efficiency, which I don't think is that much of a concern for most people in 2017 - I certainly think it's something anyone can do by themselves if they're worried about space, in any case.

The raws you used are jpgs to begin with, regardless of the fact that everyone has fast connections in 2017 or not, you bloated the files 10x their original size for absolutely no reason. People are only trying to help you with criticism and even linked you a guide on how to do it next time, there's really no reason for 17 images of just over 3000 pixels to be 300mb.

There is no excuse for needlessly wasting drive space.
1. You converted the untranslated pages - pointless, massive waste of space.
2. If you are going to save as png save it with max compression - it is a lossless format. That alone brings down the size to about 1/3 of this.
3. Monotone/grayscale images you should save/convert to 8 bit grayscale. Halves their size.
With a program like XNViewMP that only takes a few clicks.
