Not a TL error, but you should level the scan. This needs significantly higher contrast, and maybe a bit of sharpening.

I did apply a slight S-curve to tighten it up a bit but I didn't want to overdo it 'cause my monitor isn't the best and I don't know how it would appear for others. I'll keep that in mind in the future, though, thanks!

And, yeah, in hindsight that's an overly literal translation on my part.
